Story
SAILORS AND BRIDES is the brainchild of two British yachtsmen and an Australian entrepreneur who embarked on the adventure of their lifetime by sailing around the entire world. In Annapolis, MD, on a stop to fill up their supplies, they met with a seasoned marine jacket tailor and immediately saw an amazing opportunity of combining their skills and forces.
Without further ado, they created their own ultimate outdoor product. This combination of traditional tailoring and modern functionality was very well received, and they immediately started selling their products exclusively to yacht clubs and close friends. In 2011, a Hanseatic fashion entrepreneur became very enthusiastic about the product and decided to take up the idea and distribute this jacket beyond the sailing industry, on a larger scale for all kinds of outdoor and traveling activities and an urban lifestyle.

Always and throughout the ages, sailors have been celebrated as heroes, and clothing that braves the elements has always played a major role.
In our modern world, many things have changed, but traveling the world is still exciting, glamorous and adventurous. A key piece of clothing, for both men and women, is the jacket. It provides security, it stows our valuables, it warms, it protects from the elements, and it projects the image of its wearer.
