HOW IT ALL STARTED
SAILORS AND BRIDES is the brainchild of two British yachtsmen and an Australian entrepreneur who embarked on the adventure of their lifetime by sailing around the entire world. In Annapolis, MD, on a stop to fill up their supplies, they met with a seasoned marine jacket tailor and immediately saw an amazing opportunity of combining their skills and forces.

THE IDEA
In short order, they then created their own ultimate outdoor product. The combination of time-honored tailoring and modern functionality caught on and was initially only distributed to yacht clubs and close friends.

In 2011, a Hanseatic fashion entrepreneur became very enthusiastic about the product and decided to take up the idea and distribute this jacket beyond the sailing industry, on a larger scale for all kinds of outdoor and traveling activities and an urban lifestyle. SAILORS AND BRIDES WAS BORN!
